The Truckee Tahoe Airport District has canceled the Truckee Tahoe AirShow & Family Festival originally scheduled for Sept. 11. The District made this decision by consensus at its July 28 Board of Directors meeting after the tragic aircraft accident that occurred on July 26, according to a press release.
“In an abundance of caution, as well as respect for those most affected by the accident, the Airport District Board and Airport Staff agree that the cancelation of the 2021 AirShow is in the best interest of the community and District,” Kevin Smith, general manager for the Truckee Tahoe Airport District, said in the release. | truckeetahoeairshow.com
