Serve on public art advisory group

Volunteers are needed to serve on the Town of Truckee’s Public Art Advisory Body, to oversee the implementation of the newly adopted Public Art Master Plan. Responsibilities will include assisting with developing public-art program priorities and processes, as well as overseeing program implementation, project prioritization, artist selection and public outreach.

The Public Art Advisory Body will meet the first Tuesday of the month from 4 to 6 p.m. at Town Hall; the first meeting is scheduled for March.

Suitable, qualified members include arts advocates, youth arts representatives, public art experts, performing arts representatives, visual arts representatives, technical experts and community members who are not artists or arts businessowners. Three members will be appointed for a term of two years and four will be appointed for a term of four years.

Applications are at the Town Clerk’s Office in Town Hall or online. The deadline to apply is at noon on Jan. 17. |
