Grand Sierra Beer & Chili Festival will take place on Oct. 19 and 20 featuring local, regional and national craft breweries and top chili makers from around northern Nevada. This year, local firefighters will compete in the Firehouse Chili Challenge on Oct. 20 and the event’s first Cornhole Competition.
In the Firehouse Chili Challenge, firefighters representing fire departments from across the region will use their chili recipes to win $1,000 for the charity of their choice and ultimate bragging rights. Event-goers will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for tasting and voting in a People’s Choice Award.
Restaurants from around the region will compete for their favorite charity during the festival’s annual chili challenge. Featured entertainment includes music sets from a number of local favorite bands.
