Fest Benefits Furry Friends

Village at Squaw will host the 18th Brews, Jazz and Funk Fest, a family-friendly weekend filled with the melodic sounds of jazz on Aug. 10 and 11 from 2 to 8 p.m. Guests over age 21 and older can enjoy more than 35 craft beers from different breweries, including local brews from FiftyFifty Brewing Company and Alibi Ale Works. Tickets for pints of beer will be on sale for $5 each.

Music will be performed on two stages throughout the day. New Orleans-based Anders Osborne will close out the night on Aug. 10 and Vancouver-based Five Alarm Funk will close out the festival on Aug.11.

All proceeds from Brews, Jazz and Funk Fest will benefit Humane Society of Truckee-Tahoe. A $10 donation will be accepted for entry each day. Well-behaved dogs on leashes are welcome. Read more about the music lineup in this edition or at TheTahoeWeekly.com; click on Music Scene. | squawalpine.com
