$2.3 million for North Tahoe projects

Placer County Board of Supervisors recently approved $2.3 million in capital improvement projects for Eastern Placer County that stretches from the state line in Crystal Bay across the North Shore, down the West Shore and includes Martis Valley, Northstar, Olympic Valley and Donner Summit.

Project funding will include trail improvements at Watson Lake, the multipurpose recreation trail in Martis Valley, power upgrades to Commons Beach for the free summer concert series, stair improvements at Skylandia Beach, a new snowcat for the North Tahoe Regional Park, funding to aid in the preservation of the Olympic Meadow Preserve, work toward developing a Donner Summit Visitor Center, the purchase of “Ursa Mater” in Tahoe City (read details in this edition and at TheTahoeWeekly.com), and other projects.
