OutWest Film Fest celebrates the best of LGBTQ international film making on May 18 at Nevada Museum of Art in Reno, Nev. Session I, from 3 to 5 p.m., the documentary film, “Light in the Water,” will be featured followed by a question-and-answer session with director Lis Bartlett and executive producer and head of Logo Documentary Films Taj Paxton. Session II from 6 to 8 p.m. will feature director Steve Loveridge’s Sundance award-winning “Matangi/Maya/M.I.A.,” a personal profile of the critically acclaimed artist and her remarkable journey from refugee immigrant to pop star.
